So, if you are intending on purchasing this Awning, be aware that you'll be doing some modifications. First, do some homework, if you have a round roof rack system installed on your vehicle, this mounting kit is worthless. Second, if you have a flat type roof rack system, it would work, but just an ugly site. Third, if you have the Thule Roof Rack Evo System as I do, you'll need to purchase the Thule Awning Mounting Kit. Then with that kit, I did some modifications to ensure the awning is properly secured and would be functional. So, in final my advice would be, do some research and expect to do some modifications, other then that, it works fine.

I am a solo 66 yr old woman and was able to retract and put away this awning alone once it was up. They give you enough hardware for multiple install options. I’m very happy with my purchase

I read a lot reviews before purchasing this particular awning. I didn’t go with a popular name brand awning because of the price point. The material on this awning is durable and thick. Check out the mil thickness on other brands on Amazon and you will see this is one of the thicker materials. The poles are ok. They are easy to deploy and twist lock at the desired height. I don’t care for the pegs on the ends because if you’re on harder ground they won’t go in. I’m thinking of making a square foot out of scrap wood with a hole for the pole pegs. The company could have created a small flat rectangular foot for the pole bases vs the peg. Deploying and storing the awning isn’t bad. With two people it’s a breeze but one person would not be too challenging. If your roll ends up a little uneven it doesn’t take much to push your ends in to make the roll even. There are 2 extra poles in the base of the system. The only thing I can figure out is if you take the system off your vehicle you can set up the awning with 4 poles. There isn’t anything in the instructions explaining those extra poles. The case seems very durable. It’s thick and has a heavy duty zipper. The awning fits in there with ease and you don’t have to squeeze it together to close the system. I haven’t noticed any leaks from rain for the few months I’ve had the system. I have also taken the vehicle on a road trip and didn’t notice alot of wind noise from the system. I have it on a full size SUV with a Yakima round bar system. It installed easily with the components provided. Would I buy it again? Sure but for a full size truck I would go up a size. Overall, I’m pleased with the system. It received 4 stars due to the pegs on the legs.
